Leon Russom

Leon Russom ( born December 6, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas ) is an American actor.

Life

Leon Russom grew up as an orphan in several foster families in Arkansas on. After leaving school at the age of 15, he studied at Rhodes College. From 1964 to 1966 he studied acting at the Drama Centre London. He then moved to New York City and made his debut with The Promise in 1967 on Broadway. After he starred in several television series in various episodes, he made his debut in the 1972 published and directed by Gordon Davidson film drama The Trial of the Catonsville Nine at the side of Donald Moffat and William Schallert on the canvas. Russom was nominated for his performance in the drama of longing without borders in 1991 as Best Supporting Actor for an Emmy Award. Although small supporting roles in popular films such as Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country starred, The Big Lebowski and True Grit, it was his portrayal of General Jonathan Krantz in the hit TV series Prison Break, for which he gained international prominence.

Russom was for a time married to actress Karen Grassle. Since the divorce he is with Daphne Russom, with whom he has a common child, married.
