Leonardo II. Tocco

Leonardo II Tocco (* around 1375 /76 † 1418/19 ) from the Italian family Tocco was up to his death, Mr. ( Signore ) of Zante, an appanage of the county palatine of Cephalonia.

Life

Leonardo II Tocco, was born in 1375 or 1376, the son of Leonardo I Tocco, Count Palatine of Cephalonia and Zakynthos. He was the youngest of five siblings, his older brother was I. Carlo Tocco. While this was after the death of his father, Count Palatine, the island of Zante was cleaved (Zakynthos) as an appanage of the County Palatine of Leonardo II Tocco.

Later, he supported his brother Carlo in the conquest of the fortress Clarenza.

Leonardo II bore the title "Lord of Zante, governor of Corinth, Lord of Clarenza and Angelokastron ".

He already died 1418/19; after his early death adopted his brother Carlo I, who himself had no legitimate children, Leonardo's children. Leonardo's son Carlo II Tocco later inherited the county palatine of Cephalonia and the Despotate of Epirus.
