The Río Leque is the headwaters of the Río Cotacajes and flows along the eastern slopes of the Andean Cordillera in the South American country of Bolivia.

The Río Leque forms at the southeast edge of the Serrania de Sicasica near the village of Leque from the union of Río Tallija and Río Khala Parani at an altitude of 3267 m. The river flows from its formation to the north and unites after 35 kilometers with the Río Colquiri the Río Ayopaya. On the entire route of the Río Leque forms the border between the Cochabamba Department and the Department of La Paz

The Río Ayopaya is united after 40 kilometers to Río Sacambaya (37 km ), which then connect to the Río Negro ( La Paz ), and then forms the Río Cotacajes. After 125 kilometers, turn unites this with the Río Santa Elena and takes you downstream the name Río Alto Beni.
