Les Chenaux Regional County Municipality
Les Chenaux is a regional county municipality (French municipalité régional du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Quebec.
It is situated in the Mauricie administrative region, and consists of ten subordinate administrative units ( six municipalities and four Sprengel ). The MRC was founded on 1 January 2002 and was born from the merger of the defunct regional communities Ville Franche and Centre -de- la- Mauricie. The capital is Saint- Luc -de- Vincennes. The population is 17,667 and the area of 870.6 km ², representing a population density of 20.3 inhabitants per km ².
