Les Échos (France)

Les Echos is the first daily French financial newspaper. It is located since 2007 in the possession of luxury goods group LVMH billionaire Bernard Arnault.

The journal was founded in 1908 by brothers Robert and Emile Servan-Schreiber and went in 1928 to the daily publication. Appeared in 1953, initiated by Jean -Jacques Servan-Schreiber, a supplement under the name L' Express, which later became independent. After the sheet in the meantime the family belonged Beytout ( under the leadership of Jacqueline and Nicolas Beytout ), the newspaper was acquired in 1988 by the British media group Pearson and operate as a subsidiary of the Financial Times. In November 2007, Pearson announced the sale of the newspaper for 240 million euros in the luxury goods group LVMH billionaire Bernard Arnault; the authorities placed a veto.

2004 won the newspaper the EPICA price.
