Lester Goran

Lester Goran ( born May 16, 1928) is an American author. He is best known for his work on the growth of poor youth in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Life

He grew up near the University of Pittsburgh in a poor neighborhood. Although the university was in the vicinity, Goran belonged to the working class. In his work, it is clear that he was strongly influenced by this culture, especially from the bustle of the Irish Pub.

Goran visited in his youth, the Fifth Avenue High School and Schenley High School. He then studied at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his bachelor's degree in 1951 and 1960, his Master Master. Goran did his military service in the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the military police.

Career

In his novel " Bing Crosby's Last Song " he considers Pittsburgh from the perspective of its main character Daly Racklin. The novel takes place shortly before the assassination of John F.
