The Lewis and Clark Bridge is a bridge to the Gerber beam principle, which extends across the Columbia River between Longview (Washington) and Rainier (Oregon ).

The bridge was opened on 29 March 1930 as privately funded bridge under the name Longview Bridge. The costs in the amount of $ 5.8 million were financed by the raised bridge toll of $ 1 per car and 10 cents per pedestrian. At this time it was the longest bridge of its kind in the entire United States. The state of Washington purchased the bridge in 1947 and turned the elevation of the bridge duty in 1965 when the bridge was fully funded. In 1980, the bridge was renamed under the name 'the Lewis and Clark Bridge ' in honor of the Lewis and Clark expedition. The pavement was renovated from 2003 to 2004 for a total of 29.2 million dollars.

The total length is 2526.2 m ( 8288 ft. ), the largest span between two pillars is 366 m (1200 ft. ) at a maximum height of 104 m (340 ft. ). The bridge was designed by Joseph B. Strauss, the builder of the Golden Gate Bridge.
