The dictionary of technology and its auxiliary sciences, originally published by the hydraulic engineers Otto Lueger, is an encyclopedic reference work on issues of technology, which was published in four editions.

Each of these conditions is reflected in the selection and content of an epoch in German history: first the Empire with machines of all kinds, as well as mustard gas and ballistics, the Weimar Republic, with automobiles and film projectors, and finally the West German post-war period in the fourth edition of 1960 to 1972.
