Li Ruogu

Li Ruogu (* January 1951 ) is Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank of China, the China Exim Bank.

Biography

Li Ruogu graduated in 1981 with a Masters in Law from Peking University and a Master in Public Administration from Princeton University in 1983.

He was briefly an assistant professor at Peking University, before joining the People's Bank of China in 1985. In the 1990s, Li spent a year as an economist of the International Monetary Fund and four years as chief representative in China at the Asian Development Bank, as well as a liaison officer of the African Development Bank. He has served as deputy director in charge of international affairs at the People's Bank of China. Since June 2005, Li is in the current position.
