Liana Dumitrescu

Liana Dumitrescu ( born January 20, 1973 in Craiova, Dolj county, Romania, † January 27, 2011 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian politician who campaigned especially for the Macedonian minority in Romania.

Biography

After schooling Liana Dumitrescu studied law at the University of Bucharest and graduated in 1996 with a licentiate. After a subsequent brief stint as a lawyer, it was 1997 Associate of the legal department of the Chamber of Deputies ( Camera Deputaţilor ) and went there in 2001 to the office manager on.

She was active since 2000 in the organization of the Macedonian minority ( ASOCIATIA Macedonenilor din România ) and was founded in 2003 as Vice President. In addition, she represented the interests of the organization between 2001 and 2004 in the National Council of Minorities ( Consiliului Minorităţilor Nationale) and during this time was also director of the publishers Editura Macedoneanul and Publicaţia Macedoneanul.

In the election on 28 November 2004, she was elected himself as a member of the Chamber of Deputies and was part of this until her death as a representative of the Macedonian minority. After the parliamentary elections in Romania on 30 November 2008, she was re-elected as a member of the Chamber of Deputies. During this time, she was a member of the committees for legal, disciplinary action and immunity, for information and communication technologies as well as the Rules of Procedure.

On January 18, 2011, Liana Dumitrescu reported with a severe headache in the University Hospital of Bucharest Elias. The doctors diagnosed thrombosis, where the deputies died a few days later.
