Liane Carroll

Liane Carroll ( born 1964 in London) is a British jazz singer and pianist.

Liane Carroll has worked with Paul McCartney, Gerry Rafferty, Jacqui Dankworth and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. They also played as a singer and keyboard player in the drum -and- bass band London Elektricity. She appears regularly at Ronnie Scott 's Jazz Club in London and released a number of albums as a soloist, including Standard Issue ( Splash Point, 2005) with Bobby Wellins, John Parricelli and Ian Shaw. In 2005 she won the BBC Jazz Award for Best Vocalist.
