Liar Game (original in capital letters ) is a manga series by Shinobu Kaitani that appears in Japan since 2005. The work, which is classified in the genres of mystery, thriller and drama was adapted as a television series and in two films.
Content
The sincere and somewhat naive student Nao Kanzaki (神 崎 直) receives one day a message, and 100 million yen. She is now part of the " Liar Game", a money game, in which the objective is to deceive the enemy and outwit. Does it lose money in the process, so it takes out. Making a profit they can keep. She is about a former teacher and participant in the game, robbed by Kazuo Fujisawa (藤 沢 和 雄). With the help of psychologists and Trickdiebes Shinichi Akiyama (秋山 深 一) they can get their money back.
Together take Nao and Shinichi right to win the game, the organization behind it to defeat. They want to give all that they defeat, pay off the debt so that they can leave the game. In Kazuo Fujisawa they start and have to deal with from then on always new enemies and rules and styles of play.

The publisher Tonkam brought out a French translation, Kana, a Netherlands. A German version appears since April 2013 in Egmont Manga and Anime in the previous six volumes.
In addition, published on 18 July 2008 was published the short story collection Liar Game Roots of A: Kaitani Shinobu Tampenshū ( LIAR GAME roots of A甲 斐 谷 忍 短 编 集; ISBN 978-4-08-877476-3 ), and on November 4, 2009, the Factbook LIAR GAME / Invitation (ISBN 978-4-08-782252-6 ).
Adaptations
TV series
The series was made into a drama for the Japanese television. The first eleven-part season was aired from 14 April 2007 to 23 June 2007 by Fuji TV. From 10 November 2009 to 19 January 2010 was followed by a second season with nine episodes with the same transmitter. The main roles Erika Toda and Shota Matsuda were seen.
Movies
A first film to manga came in 2010 with Liar Game: The Final Stage in Japanese theaters. In this Hiroaki Matsuyama had directed the film, as well as the second movie Liar Game: Reborn. This 2012 had premiere on March 3.
