Library of Congress Country Studies

The Country Studies ( German: country studies ) are works that are published by the Federal Research Division of the Library of Congress of the United States and the public use (public domain) are dedicated. There is no copyright claimed, so that they are freely available for research and copies. This is not true for your whole used there imagery.

The country studies are descriptions and analyzes of the historical situation and the social, economic, political, and national security systems and institutions of countries throughout the world. The series examines the interrelationships of those systems and the way how they are shaped by cultural factors.

The books represent the analysis of the authors and should not be construed as the official position of the U.S. government. Rather, the aim is to meet the accepted standards of scientific objectivity.

Online information from the website of the Country Studies are free and unrestricted available for research purposes. Printouts of all studies ( with the exception of regional studies on Macau and Afghanistan) can be ordered through an online bookstore in the Superintendent of Documents of the United States Government Printing Office.
