Lichtentaler Allee

The light Allee is a 2.3-kilometer road through a park area in the center of Baden -Baden. It was known in the 19th century as the famous Promenade visitors to the swanky spa town, which was then called the " Summer Capital of Europe ".

The avenue leads from Goethe space on the left bank of the Oos upriver to the monastery place in Lichtental district. The original Flurweg from the monastery light valley to the urban market to have been created as Oak Avenue from Baden chamberlains Moritz von Lassolaye after since the early 19th century writing traditional legend in 1655. Course

Starting at the Goethe Platz is the built in neo-baroque style theater first.
