Liddy Holloway

Liddy Holloway ( born March 27, 1945 in Wellington, New Zealand as Elizabeth Brenda Holloway, † December 29, 2004 in Auckland, New Zealand) was a New Zealand actress and screenwriter.

Life and career

The daughter of a politician was initially worked for many years as a journalist before she decided to switch to acting. She began to appear in New Zealand at the theater and got a role in the soap opera Prisoner, in which she starred from 1981 to 1984. They also wrote several screenplays for the series.

From 1992 to 1998 she was one of the main cast of the soap opera Shortland Street and played the recurring role of Alcmene in the fantasy series Hercules.

In 1996 she wrote the screenplays for several episodes of the drama series City Life ( with Claudia Black and Lisa Chappell ). Furthermore, she appeared in several U.S. productions such as the comedy Without a Paddle.

On December 29, 2004, she died of liver cancer. She leaves behind three adult children.
