Lidia Semenova

Lydyja Semenova (Ukrainian Лидия Семенова, English transcription Lidia Semenova; born November 22, 1951 in Kiev) is a Ukrainian chess player and since 1982 the Grand Master of the women.

Life

In 1972, she played in Tolyatti the Soviet Women's Championship, which won Marta Litinskaja. 1978 in Nikolayev was Lydyja Semenowa shared first with Irina Lewitina. The Spartakiade 1979, the Soviet championships in 1979 and 1980, as well as a tournament in Rostov-on- Don were further success. In the 1980s, she was one of the worlds best.

From 1990 to 2009, she participated in many tournaments in Russia, Poland and especially in Ukraine. She played Championships Kiev ( 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 ) and the Kiev Women Championships 2001, 2002 and 2003.
