Lidia Wysocka

Lidia Wysocka (* June 24, 1916 in Rogaczew; † January 2, 2006 in Warsaw) was a Polish actress, singer and theater director.

She completed training at the State Theatre Institute ( PIST, today: Akademia Teatralna Warsaw), which she completed in 1936. Wysocka was an actress in movies and the theater ( debut in 1936 with The Pickwick Papers ) and associate the radio. She played both dramas and comedies. During the Second World War, she was arrested by the Gestapo and taken to the prison Serbia. In 1956, she founded the Cabaret Wagabunda, which she ran for 10 years. At the end of her career, she wrote feature articles for the culture radio station Polskie Radio.

She has been awarded the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland and the Order of Polonia Restituta (officer ).
