Life and Debt

Life and Debt is a documentary by Stephanie Black from the year 2001., It highlights the economic and social situation in Jamaica, in particular the influence of the policies of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Based on excerpts from the book A Small Place Jamaica Kincaid the author of the daily struggle for survival of the population is described, whose future is determined by a policy of free trade, international loans and structural adjustments.
