Lillomarka

Lillomarka is a forest area north of the Norwegian capital Oslo. It is located in the municipalities of Oslo and Nittedal.

Lillomarka is distinguished from Maridalen in the West, Nittedal in the east, the Oslo districts Bjerke and Grorud in the south and the Gjøvikbanen and Movatn in the north. To the west and northwest of Lillomarka is Nordmarka. In Lillomarka among other things the old Gothalfske are gruver, the source of drinking water Alnsjø and the hiding of master thief Ole Høiland from the 1830s. On the Linderudkollen are popular training facilities for ski jumping. In Ammerud and Grorud also is the Steinbruvann.
