Linda Cristal

Linda Cristal ( born February 23, 1934 in Buenos Aires; born Marta Victoria Moya Burges ) is an Argentine actress.

The daughter of a Frenchman and an Italian mother lost her parents in 1947 in a traffic accident, the only survivor she was. Soon after, she was discovered by the Mexican film producer Miguel Alemán Velasco, the son of President Miguel Alemán Valdés. Because of a car accident, she had to interrupt her career. In 1959 she received for her role in Urlaubsschein to Paris Golden Globe Award for Best Young Actress. In the Western Alamo, she played the role of Flaca at the request of lead actor John Wayne.

Worldwide popularity gained by the Cristal produced from 1967 to 1971 western series The High Chaparral, where she portrayed a native of Mexico, Victoria Montoya Cannon born, the second wife of rancher Big John Cannon ( Leif Erickson ). In 1970, she received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress Drama Series, 1971, she was nominated for the same award. The Bravo magazine awarded her by taking a vote of its readers in the area 's most popular female TV star in 1970 and 1972 and a Bronze Silver Otto Otto. In 1970, she received a Bambi.

In 1985 she returned to Argentina and took over the title role in the soap Rossé. After that, they no longer appeared in public. She was from 1960 to 1966 with Yale Wexler (two sons ) and from 1958 to 1959 with Robert W. Champion married.
