Linda Thompson (singer)

Linda Thompson (actually: Linda Pettifer, also known as Linda Peters, born 1948 in the London Borough of Hackney ) is a British folk singer.

Under the name Linda Peters took her as one half of the duo Paul & Linda with Paul McNeill on 1968 two singles that flopped both. After she had then operated for several years as a session musician and singer in folk clubs, she joined with various sizes of the British folk scene to the short-lived band The Bunch together, their sole album Rock On she appeared. There, she first worked with Richard Thompson, whom she had met in 1969.
