LinuxUser
Linux users is a German computer magazine for Linux users from the publisher of Medialinx AG, which also publishes the Linux Magazine. It appears since January 2000 - first as a special issue, on a regular basis since June 2000. Linux users mainly deals with the practical use of Linux and is aimed, in contrast to Linux Magazine primarily to end users.
Publication
The magazine is published every third Thursday of the month. A quarterly special edition is published with special topics such as networking, security or hardware.

Was chief editor until October 2004 Hans -Georg Esser, Jörg Luther is its successor.
Content
The journal focuses primarily on software that is relevant for the classic home users. The spectrum ranges from the full-blown Office suite to small console program. Each issue has a thematic focus, which includes up to a quarter of the output. In addition there are the articles in categories such as practical, in the test, know-how or network system, and with which the reader is given an orientation with respect to the orientation of the article at the same time.
Additions
In the production of the Linux User spending free software is mainly used. The magazine CD is mastered and burned with cdrecord mkisofs /. Only for the layout come with Adobe InDesign on Mac OS X proprietary components are used.
