Lisa Dwan

Lisa Dwan (born 1978 ) is an Irish actress from Coosan, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.

Dwan wanted to be a ballet dancer and left school at the age of 14 years after she won a scholarship to a ballet school in Leeds originally.

In her first film, Oliver Twist 1997, she played the role of Agnes alongside Elijah Wood and Richard Dreyfuss.

Dwan's first series role was as Princess Deirdra in the fantasy series Mystic Knights. She played in 2004 in five episodes, the role of Orla in the Irish series The Big Bow Wow. From 2006 to 2007 she took over the role of Zoe Burke in 21 episodes of the soap opera Fair City and 2008 she appeared in the eight-part British series rock Rivals.

From 15 July to 7 August 2005, she took over the lead role in Samuel Beckett's Not I at London's Battersea Arts Centre. On 10 August 2007 she married the actor Vincent Welsh.
