The Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog

Mystic Knights - The Legend of Tir Na Nog is an American fantasy series. It was produced by Saban Entertainment in 1998. The story is partly based on Irish mythology.

Action

Queen Maeve of Temra wants Kells, the Kingdom from which it comes, conquer. But it evokes the evil Feenmeister Mider, by means of which they can summon creatures. Conchobar, King of Kells, learns of Maeve's plan and sends the druid apprentice Rohan and his friend Angus out to seek the legendary warrior Draganta. They are accompanied by Princess Deirdra, the daughter of the king, and Ivar, prince of another kingdom.

The four get into the world of Tir Na Nóg in which they seek their King Fin Varra. This gives after some tests mystical weapons that give them the forces of the elements fire, air, earth and water. With this power, they now fight as mystical knights against Maeve, while they are always accompanied by the little fairy Aideen. Later, the Knight Garrett, who has received the power of the forest comes to them. He is initially controlled by Maeve, but it is a short time later freed by the other mystic knights. At the end of the series Maeve is defeated and banished. Your position assumes the sorceress Nemaine that had ruled before Maeve Temra and now seeks back to power.

Production and publication

The first broadcast was on 1 September 1998 on the American children and youth channel Fox Kids. The last episode was on May 7, 1999. In Germany, the series was broadcast on the children's and youth channel Super RTL. In Germany and the United States, a videotape was released which contains a compilation of episodes 3-6 in the respective language. In Germany, two DVDs appeared with two of the first four episodes about it.

The title song of the same name comes from the German version of the Kelly Family.
