Lisbet Rausing

Lisbet Rausing ( born 1960 in Sweden) is a Swedish historian of science and patron.

Lisbet is a daughter of Hans Rausing and granddaughter of Tetra Pak founder Ruben Rausing.

Growing up in Lund studied Rausing at the University of California, Berkeley and at Harvard, where she taught for eight years. Lisbet Rausing currently works as a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for the History of Science at Imperial College.

Lisbet Rausing in 2001 founded the non-profit that has been awarded more than 181 million U.S. $ for the preservation of endangered natural and cultural treasures Arcadia Foundation.

Rausing received honorary doctorates from the University of Uppsala, Imperial College and SOAS; she is a member of the Linnean Society, the Royal Historical Society and the British Academy.

She is a board member of the conservation organization Fauna & Flora International (FFI ).

Private

Her first marriage to the American art history professor Joseph Koerner come from the children of Benjamin and Siggy. In 2002 she married the historian Professor Peter Baldwin.

She lives in Holland Park. In Scotland Fort William owns a 4,000 acre estate.
