List of airports in Rhode Island

The list of airports in Rhode Iceland provides an overview of all airports in the U.S. state. The list includes all public and military use airports. Private airports are included if they have been used previously in public, commercial aircraft movements by the FAA are registered there or the airport has been assigned an IATA code.

Note: bold airports are served by commercial airlines.

* The FAA defines for the use of airports different categories:

  • PR: Commercial Service - Primary: Airports in the public sector, which are served on a regular basis and their passenger numbers exceed 10,000 per year
  • CS: Commercial Service - Non -Primary: Airports in the public sector, which are served on a regular basis and at least 2,500 reach their passenger numbers per year
  • RL: Reliever: alternate airports that are to relieve the commercial airports with high passenger volume
  • GA: General Aviation: Airports for general aviation
