List of British Governors of the Straits Settlements

The Governors of the Straits Settlements were the heads of the British colonies of the Straits Settlements on the Straits of Malacca. The main settlements were Penang, Singapore and Malacca.

Until 1867, the Straits Settlements were administered by the British East India Company, which appointed the governor. After that, the Straits Settlements were given the status of a Crown Colony and the Colonial Office appointed the governor.

1946, the colonies were dissolved.
