Lista Lighthouse

The Lista fyr is a lighthouse on the south coast of Norway. The first beacon was taken into operation here in 1833.

The tower stands on Ytre Listalandet, is 34 meters high and was built in 1833 of hewn granite. Between 1854 and 1874 a total of three lighthouses of this type were there to avoid confusion with other beacons.

The lighthouse is a distinctive landmark in the flat landscape in Lista. The lighthouse is the only higher stone tower in the region and to be seen in the context of the Norwegian lighthouse history as rare.
