History

The History of the Academy begins 1922 with the establishment of a veterinary department at the University of Lithuania. In 1936 the Veterinary Academy was spun off as an independent educational institution. In 2001, the connected hitherto independent scientific institutes for livestock in Baisogala and the Veterinary Institute in Kaišiadorys the Academy.
