Little Danube

The Little Danube (Slovak Maly Dunaj, Hungarian Kis- Duna ) is a tributary of the Danube in Slovakia.

In the near Bratislava, the Little Danube branches from the Danube and flows into numerous meanders roughly parallel north along the main river. After a length of about 128 km, it flows near Kolárovo in the river Vah. The part of the Waag between Kolárovo and the confluence with the Danube is very rarely waager Danube ( Slovak: Vág - Duna: Vážsky Dunaj, Hungarian ) called. The river system is the largest river island in Europe, the Great Rye Island.

From an unknown date to the 16th century formed the Little Danube the main stream of the Danube.

At high tide - about June 2013 - the arm is being used.
