Little Marlow is a village in Buckinghamshire in England. It lies on the River Thames, about a mile north-east of Great Marlow and about 50 km west of London. Little Marlow has 130 inhabitants (2001 ) and belongs to the district of Wycombe.

The first documentary mention (as Merelafan ) comes from the year 1015. The name is of Anglo-Saxon origin and refers in its original meaning a piece of land that is created by the draining of a water body.

Little Marlow was influenced in his early years by the local monastery, whose remaining buildings today are located in different places of the town. Other attractions in the town, the church of St John the Baptist is one of the 14th century. Another attraction is the ruins of the Benedictine abbey dating from the 13th century. The abbey was abolished in 1547 and destroyed in 1740.

Is considered to be worth seeing also the Marlow Suspension Bridge, a suspension bridge from the years 1829 to 1832. It has a wingspan of 235 feet (about 71.6 meters ). In the graveyard of Little Marlow writer Edgar Wallace is buried.

The twin city of Little Marlow is the French Marly- le- Roi.

The town has a railway station and bus routes to Henley-on -Thames, High Wycombe ( line 400) and Reading. The M40 motorway is approximately 8 miles from Little Marlow.
