The Feenliest ( Tanysiptera hydro charis ) is occurring on the Aru Islands and New Guinea kingfisher.

Features

The Feenliest has a size of 19 cm. The adult bird has a big red bill, a pale blue forehead spot, dark blue face strips and wings, a white breast feathers, and the characteristic long tail feathers of the Paradieseisvögel.

Distribution and threat

The Feenliest native to the Indonesian Aru Islands and in the extreme south of New Guinea. It feeds mainly on insects, which it catches on the ground. Information on the threat to the IUCN Feenliestes are not possible due to insufficient data situation.
