Little Town is a hamlet in the Newlands Valley in Lake District, Cumbria, England. The settlement is about 9 miles from Keswick and is part of the civil parish Above Derwent.

The Keskadale Beck flows west of Little Town in the Newlands Beck.

Little Town is the beginning and the end of the Newlands Horseshoe walk round.

The hamlet was immortalized by Beatrix Potter literary in her book, The Tales of Mrs Tiggy Winkle -. The main character of the book Lucie lives on the "Little -town farm", with which the settlement is meant in the Newlands Valley. The figure itself was inspired by the daughter of the Vicars of Newlands Church Lucie Carr, who met Potter on a visit to the Lake District in 1901.

The Newlands Church, which is located approximately 450 m west of Little Town (54 ° 33 '48 " N, 3 ° 11' 36 " W54.563441 - 3.193245 ), it can be shown for the first time in the 16th century, the current building dates but from the 19th century but is still a Grade II listed building.

The church originally -used as a school annex was added in 1877. The school was closed in 1967.
