Littoral Region (Cameroon)

Littoral ( German coast, cf litoral ) is a region of Cameroon with capital Douala.

Geography

The region is located in the west of the country, bordered to the north by the region Ouest / West, on the southwest by the Atlantic Ocean, on the southeast by the Region Sud / South, on the west by the region of Sud- Ouest / Southwest and on the east by the Centre region. The Douala - Edea Wildlife Reserve is located in the province. At the border of the neighboring province are the 2,411 meter high extinct volcano Manengouba and Mount Kupe, these form the eastern borders of the Bakossi mountains together form a biodiversity hotspot.
