Lizhou District

Lizhou (Chinese利 州 区, pinyin Lizhou Qū ) is a municipality of the prefecture-level city of Guangyuan in northeastern China's Sichuan province. It has an area of 1,492 square kilometers and counts 460,000 inhabitants ( 2004). Lizhou was formerly " Shizhong " (市 中 区, Shizhong qū ). On 13 March 2007, the name was changed to Lizhou.

In the east Lizhou borders the county Wangcang, to the south by the Municipality Zhaohua and the circle Jiange, on the west by the county Qingchuan and to the north by the Municipality chaotian.

Administrative Divisions

Lizhou is composed of three road districts, seven large municipalities and three municipalities. These are:

  • Road district Dongba (Chinese东坝 街道, Pinyin Dongba jiedao);
  • Road Hexi District (Chinese河西 街道, Pinyin Hexi jiedao);
  • Road district Jialing (Chinese嘉陵 街道, Pinyin Jialing jiedao);
  • Greater community Baolun (Chinese宝轮 镇, Pinyin Bǎolún Zhen );
  • Greater community Chihua (Chinese赤化 镇, Pinyin Chihua Zhen );
  • Greater community Dashi (Chinese大石镇, Pinyin Dashi Zhen );
  • Greater community Gongnong (Chinese工农 镇, Pinyin Gongnong Zhen );
  • Greater community Panlong (Chinese盘龙 镇, Pinyin Panlong Zhen );
  • Greater community Rongshan (Chinese荣 山镇, Pinyin Rongshan Zhen );
  • Greater community Sandui (Chinese三 堆 镇, Pinyin Sānduī Zhen );
  • Community Baichao (Chinese白 朝 乡, Pinyin Báicháo Xiang );
  • Community Jindong (Chinese金 洞 乡, Pinyin Jindong Xiang );
  • Community Longtan (Chinese龙潭 乡, Pinyin Longtan Xiang ).
