Ljubomir Tadić

Ljubomir Tadić ( born May 14, 1925 in Smriječno, Yugoslavia, now the municipality of Plužine, Montenegro, † December 31, 2013 in Belgrade, Serbia) was a Yugoslav and Serbian philosopher.

Life

He graduated in 1952 to study at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade from. 1953/54, he was editor of the Sarajevo daily newspaper Oslobođenje. In 1959 he earned his doctorate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana. He was a member of the committee of experts that drafted the 1963 Constitution of Yugoslavia newly come into force.

1960 to 1962 he was associate professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Sarajevo. From 1963 he was a full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. Tadić was one of the eight members of the neo-Marxist practice group, which were excluded in 1975 from the University of Belgrade. From 1980 he was a research associate at the Institute društvenih nauka ( Institute for Social Science ) in Belgrade. The focus of his scientific work were legal philosophy and political philosophy.

He was a corresponding, decent since 1994 a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts since 1985.

Ljubomir Tadić was a member of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, 1989, he was one of the founding members of the Demokratska Stranka.

Family

Ljubomir Tadić Nevenka Tadić was with (* 1926) married, who worked as a professor of psychiatry at the University of Belgrade. The couple had two children; her son Boris Tadić (born 1958 ) was from 2004 to 2012 President of Serbia.
