Lloyd LaBeach

Lloyd LaBeach ( Lloyd Barrington LaBeach; born June 28, 1922 in Panama City, † February 19, 1999 in New York City ) was a Panamanian sprinter. He was the first and, to Irving Saladino 2008 only Olympic medalist of his country.

At the Olympic Games in London in 1948, he won two bronze medals: The 100 - meter dash at 10.6 seconds ( behind the Americans Harrison Dillard and Barney Ewell with 10.3 and 10.4 seconds) and the 200-meter run at 21.2 seconds ( behind the Americans Mel Patton and Ewell, both 21.1 seconds ).
