Loaded is the fourth album by the band The Velvet Underground. The album was in 1970, one month after the departure of Lou Reed, at Cotillion Records, a sub-label of Atlantic Records published.

Background

After it had not come to publish a fourth album with MGM, the Velvets switched to Atlantic Records. Loaded at the time was the most commercially successful release of the group and took aim from the unpretentious compilation of tracks on the wide audience taste of radio stations from. The title of the album should be an allusion to a geladenenes with successes Album ( loaded with hits), but the album was catchy and despite strong songs no longer the character of the former Velvet Underground sounds.
