Loch Insh

Loch Insh is a freshwater lake in the Scottish Highlands. It lies in the valley of the River Spey in the unitary authority of Highland. The lake is about 1.8 km long and 1 km wide.

Loch Insh is drained by the River Spey. The Spey flows into Loch Insh at its western end and leaves the lake again on its eastern shore. In addition, the Dunachton Burn flows north in Loch Insh. Immediately prior to the discharge of the Spey is located in the lake is an island - Tom Dumbh called.
