Loch Long

Loch Long is a bay on the west coast of Scotland in the county of Argyll and Bute. In Scotland, these bays sea lochs are called and call lakes that are fed by seawater.

The Loch Long stretches from its southern end on the Firth of Clyde some 30 kilometers to the village of Arrochar on the northern tip of the bay. The Finnart Oil Terminal is located on the east side of the bay. From this terminal, a 100 -kilometer pipeline leads to an oil refinery at Grangemouth. Also on the east side is the Royal Navy 's Coulport Armament Depot and is part of the Naval Base Faslane -on- Clyde.
