Lockyer (lunar crater)

Lockyer is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, west of the great crater Janssen and northeast of Pitiscus. The crater is only slightly eroded, the crater floor is level.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the British astrophysicist Joseph Norman Lockyer.
