London Transport Museum

The London Transport Museum is a museum that deals with the history of public transport in London. The main museum is located in the Covent Garden district of central London in a building constructed in 1872 building, which previously was a part of the flower market of Covent Garden. History of the Museum

The current site of the museum in Covent Garden was opened in 1980. It was limited to the history of London Transport, the society, which was responsible for the operation of the London Underground, bus routes and also for the previous trams and trolley buses at that time.

In 2000, the Museum was transferred to the jurisdiction of Transport for London. At the same time changed its name in London 's Transport Museum, as you wanted in the future to deal with all aspects of transport in London, and not only that of the Society London Transport. In 2007 they returned, however, back to the old name.

On 22 November 2007, the museum was reopened, the exhibition rooms have been enlarged, and the museum education field has been further improved.
