Lone Star (Band)

Lone Star was a British rock band that was founded in 1975 by Paul " Tonka " Chapman in Cardiff, Wales. They were taken by CBS Records and released their debut album there Lone Star, which reached number 47 in 1976 in the UK album charts. For the second album, Firing On All Six, vocalist Kenny Driscoll was replaced by John Sloman. This album climbed to number 36 in the UK album charts. In 1978, the band broke up.

Driscoll and Hurley formed the band in 1979, and unsuccessfully tried to get a new record deal. They played a few concerts in 1980.

A third album, Riding High, was published in 2000 on the Zoom Club label.
