Lopausee
The Lopausee is an artificial lake east of Amelinghausen in the Lüneburg Heath. By a causeway which Lopau is dammed to a lake with a size of about 12 ha here. The dam is located parallel to the embankment of the passing B209.
The lake serves exclusively as a nature reserve and recreation. The water quality is good; The fishing and swimming in the lake is possible. For the latter, there is a beach and a pontoon in the lake. Visitors can walk around the lake on an approximately 2.2 km long pedestrian and bicycle path.
