Lothar Machtan

Lothar Machtan (born 4 October 1949 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German historian and author. He has been Professor of History at the University of Bremen.

As historians Machtan deals mainly with German history in the 19th and 20th centuries, treated primarily cultural aspects of the policy. Caused a sensation in his thesis of the homosexuality of Adolf Hitler.
