Louder than Hell (English for: "Louder than Hell " ) is the eighth studio album by the American heavy metal band Manowar True and was published on 24 September 1996.

Formation

David Shankle left the group in 1993 to establish the David Shankle Group. His successor, Charles Logan is on Louder than Hell His debut album on guitar. Scott Columbus also returns after prolonged abstinence to the band and releases his representative Kenny " Rhino" Earl Edwards from on drums.

The album was recorded for the second time in the band's own studio " Wahnfried " in New York. The name of the album alludes to the entry in the Guinness Book of Records as the loudest band.

The pictures on the cover were created by Ken Kelly, who is responsible for the illustrations for the album Fighting the World.

All tracks were written by Joey DeMaio except Return of the Warlord, The Gods Made Heavy Metal, Outlaw and My Spirit Lives On by Joey DeMaio & Karl Logan.

Singles

  • Return of the Warlord already appeared in March 1996. As a B-side, the single contained the piece warlord from the album Into Glory Ride in a live version.
  • Number 1 was released in October with two live songs as a bonus.
  • Courage was decoupled into two versions as a single. First, the studio version was released with the album song Today Is a Good Day to Die as a bonus. In 1997 the live version, together with a remastered version, as well as the piece Metal Warriors in a live version.

Success

The album peaked at number # 7 in the charts in Germany. The single Return of the Warlord came in the top 100 singles chart to # 96

Others

  • Unfolded gives the CD cover an approximately 36 × 24 cm poster.
  • Traditionally allowed to play with the band at concerts of Manowar a fan on stage and The Gods Made Heavy Metal.
  • The second part of the title Brothers of Metal was released in 1992 under the name Metal Warriors on the previous album The Triumph of Steel.
  • Brothers of Metal and courage were played live at a concert in Brooklyn by Manowar already on 8 February 1986.
  • In Malaysia, the album's title was changed for religious reasons. There the CD and MC was titled Louder. The list includes the cover artwork was changed.
  • In addition to the " standard CD " There's a limited edition of 2,000 pieces "Picture - Disc Edition". To Hell on Wheels Tour 1997, a strictly limited edition appeared with the " Hell on Wheels " design.
