Louis-Edmond Hamelin

Louis -Edmond Hamelin, OC, GOQ, FRSC ( born March 21, 1923 in Saint- Didace, Quebec ) is a Canadian geographer, who has earned primarily through his studies of the North America and numerous studies on the High widths Indians. With his greatest achievement to include the introduction of Nordizitätsbegriffes that allows places of northern latitudes after their anthropogenic accessibility to compare.

Hamelin also founded the Centre for Northern Studies at Laval University in Quebec City and was president of the Université du Québec à Trois- Rivières.
