Louis-Philippe Dalembert

Louis -Philippe Dalembert ( born December 8, 1962 in Port-au -Prince, Haiti ) is a French-language writer whose novels from, short stories and poetry existing work has been translated into several languages.

Biography

Dalembert is the son of a primary school teacher and headteacher. His father's death a few months after his birth had an effect on the material situation of the family. So he spent the first years of his childhood in Bel-Air, a poor neighborhood of the capital, where he grew up in a world full of women. His mother taught during the week in the province and he lived at this time at their cousins ​​, the older sister, the great-aunts and his grandmother's mother's side.
