The Louisville International Airport in Kentucky, USA is the main aviation hub for UPS Airlines, a cargo airline operating worldwide, as well as for cargo airline Astar Air Cargo.

The airport has two parallel extending start and runways with a length of 8000 and 10000 feet. The airport will be expanded massively since 2004, a total of approximately 41 million U.S. dollars will be invested in clearance, hangars, aircraft parking areas, etc..

As the airport is the central hub of the United Parcel Service in the U.S. and as the European counterpart to the Cologne / Bonn airport is between these two a close bond; Louisville even speaks of Our Sister Airport.
