Lower Brule Indian Reservation

The Lower Brule Reservation is an Indian reservation of the Brulé Lakota after the Treaty of 1898. It covers 914 km ² ( 225 970 acres) and is inhabited by 1362 people.

Location

The reserve is located about 58 miles south east of Pierre on Highway 1806 ( Lewis & Clark route ) in the U.S. state of South Dakota. It borders on the Crow Reservation Cree. The two reserves are separated only by the Missouri River.
